In fact, the creatures didn't feel like wild animals to me because of it, they felt like video game enemies who didn't have any regard for their safety. The attacks in BZ are far more frequent, to the point of being a genuine annoyance. Other than leviathans and Bonesharks, most everything else in the original didn't bother you if you just kept your distance. I find the fauna in this game much more aggressive than the ones in the original Subnautica, making the option of "leaving them alone" a lot more difficult.
